How do you feel about a 100% boredom-free tour of Diest? Then a beer and chocolate tasting walk with a beer sommelier/chocolate expert is just what you need. Explore the city and its rich history with stops at sights not found anywhere else and including unique taste experiences too!
The walking tour takes you by Diest’s loveliest spots, including its famous UNESCO heritage Beguinage and the ‘Grote Markt’, the beating heart of the town with its neoclassical town hall and the imposing St Sulpitius Church, which still features Belgium’s typical 16th century ‘brown stone’.
A delicious Saturday
We’ll taste delicious local beers and chocolates at the authentic Loterbol brewery, distinguished by its unique décor and fascinating history. The guide will whet your appetite by sharing the subtleties of how to taste beer and chocolate and intriguing your taste buds with information about Loterbol’s typical characteristics and its brewing process. Expect to come away with a host of anecdotes and tips & tricks about the world of Belgian beer and chocolate.

Train: regular trains coming from Brussels: check www.b-rail.be (you will probably have to change trains in Leuven)
Walking distance from Railway station till Begijnhof (Beguinage) is 1,2km (+/- 15min walk) OR you can rent a Blue-bike at the Railway Station (you need a Blue-bike card for this)
